This is my family - my wife Tym, my daugher Kylee (an accomplished photographer herself) and my son, Rembrandt. I love them.
When I'm not taking pictures, I make a living as an IT person. A benefit (pre-covid) is I travelled a bit for work. This was also 'pre-Remy' and I enjoyed taking the late flight home so that I could explore the city. More than sight seeing, I enjoyed talking to people and I started to ask if I could take their portrait. Some would express how novel it was that a stranger would think they are worthy for a portrait. That made me feel good; I could be a blessing to a stranger's life by this simple compliment.
I did this for some time. A good photographer and friend invited me to assist her at a wedding and I was absorbed. It's the most important day of someone's life. It was an honor to be their historian.
I continued learn and practice. I shot more and more. I tried all sorts of different photography from headshots, concerts, sports, seniors and I kept going back to weddings as my favorite.
A hundred weddings later, and I still enjoy it as much as the first.
Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life.
When you're ready for the next step, contact me below. I'll send you a full wedding gallery (or more) to give you a more complete picture of how I photograph a wedding. (What images are important to me? What details do I pay attention to? Etc.)
If you like what you see, we'll schedule a meeting. This is a no-charge/no pressure consultation where the main goal is for us to get to know each other and to help you decide if I'm the right photographer for your wedding. Consider it an AMA.
